Improving the quality of care provided by medical teams to communities affected by health emergencies has been at the heart of the EMT Initiative since its inception through standardization and quality assurance. The Global Classification is the most known example of such a mechanism for international teams.
As the number of teams established at national and subnational level grows, so does the interest and demand for a quality assurance mechanism for such teams.
This workshop style session will explore the reasons, building blocks and options for developing quality assurance mechanisms for national teams.
